测试了一下，可以把自己产生的各种 rss feed 汇集在一起，提供给朋友阅读，评论。Friendfeed 采用类似 Google
blogger.com "Backlink" 技术 [1] 提供话题相关归类。这一点反而是 google reader
欠缺的。另外支持特定主题的群组 room。感觉比 Facebook / Myspace / LinkedIn / Hi5 / Orkut
这些更实用的社交网络服务，并能更好地保护隐私，
而且比 BBS / Webforum 更开放灵活，因为一个话题的发起和评论，可以在各个不同的服务类型和网站上分布，比如，A 在 delicious.com 书签中对一个网页发表了 notes 评论，他的朋友 B 可以在 twitter.com 短消息中对这个书签 notes 发表评论，另一个朋友 C 可以在 flickr.com 中用图片，或者在 youtube.com 中用录像进行评论，或者提供其他参考。这就有点接近我的分布式社会网络论坛的构想了。只要把 Friendfeed 做成超级节点上运行的服务，不是一个集中的服务，并解决全局名服务，服务定位的问题，就好了。
缺点：不支持 https.
另一个服务，Yoono.com，提供界面很炫的 Firefox 插件，功能超越 friendfeed，集成了 IM 和网页摘录，blog / email 发布。
BTW, googlegroups 里的内容，在 google web search 以及许多搜索服务中无法检索到，必须在 googlegroups 专门的检索功能才能搜索到，而 blog 的内容，则不仅仅在blogsearch 中才能检索，已经可以在 google web search 中找到。所以，从信息传播覆盖面考虑，应该用 blog，并提供 email subscription, email post 功能。也就是说，把 googlegroups 转变为一个 blog 界面形式，就不错。普通的 blog 也可以通过 feedburner 提供 email subscription，但是 email post 依赖于具体的服务器软件。blogger.com, spaces.live.com 都支持 email post，但是内嵌图片的链接处理，都不是很好。用 zoundry.com, windows live writer 可以从桌面直接撰写发布 blog 帖子，但是失去了 email post 自动备份的优点，而且工作流程也不如 email 便利。
