How to run on Windows

I would like to compile and run this web server on Windows. I have
downloaded the latest version 1.4.22 but it seems there are some Unix
specific files, for example: Cannot open include file: 'sys/ioctl.h':
No such file or directory
Does anyone have lighttpd running on Windows? If so, what files and
code needs to be modified?

Afaik you need cygwin to run lighttpd on windows.
