ByList with IN instead of ORs

Hi All,

there are at least two discussions about the fact that ByList uses
concatenated ORs instead of IN:

Beside the fact that I don't understand the reason for having
concatenated ORs instead of IN in [1], I wanted to ask if it is possible
to add something like ByListIn to Mapper?
