Folks,
I'm excited to announce that the Scala lift off will be held at 301 Battery Street, Third Floor in San Francisco on Saturday May 10th (the day after the end of JavaOne.)
ZeroTurnaround, authors of JavaRebel (my favorite commercial tool), are Platinum Sponsors of the Scala lift off. After lunch at the Scala lift off, they will be giving a brief presentation of how your Scala and lift development is so much better with JavaRebel and there will be a very pleasant surprise for all Scala lift off attendees.
The Scala lift off is be a great place for members of the Scala and lift communities to get together, learn about Scala, learn about lift and get to know each other face to face. There will be Scala tracks going all day long and lift tracks to suits everyone's interests.
The Scala lift off will be held in 301 Battery Street, Third Floor, San Francisco, CA on Saturday May 10th, 2008 from 9am to 5pm.
Cost of admission will be $50 per person, lunch and snacks will be provided. Free admission for students (and yes, that means a free lunch… see econ 101.)
Martin Odersky will be giving the keynote address.
Presentations will be offered by David Pollak, Steve Jenson, Steve Yen, and others.
Because Scala lift off is an unconference (aka, open space conference), the actual topics will be based on attendee offers and attendee votes.
