Hi
Every now and then you come across a website so good you just have to share it. Gapminder World, accessible via  http://www.gapminder.org/  is just such a site. On this incredibly simple site you can graph just about every important demographic statistic against every other important statistic, in seconds. Ideal for settling all those my stats versus your stats arguments (unless, of course, the data is all manipulated by an evil conglomerate).

I heard about this site via a really cool new website at http://www.thedailymaverick.co.za/home, which I also recommend you visit.

If you got 2 copies of this email, then you are  1 of the few correctly registered on the libsa website - congratulations.

Hi all,

I would like to recommend a book which I found to be absolutely excellent. You can download the whole thing for free from http://home.cc.umanitoba.ca/~altemey/. It's called "The Authoritarians" and is written by Bob Altemeyer.

Regards,

Stephen.
