This is what happens when demand is high, supply exists, but no price is
allowed to be set on the product or service / voluntary exchanges are
actively outlawed. All incentives to produce simply disappear.

No no, they're not sleeping, that's a knee-jerk libertarian insult; they've been killed by wild cat strikers and service delivery protesters.
