This clip almost killed me, so beware. There is so much wrong with it, I
don't even know where to start.

A friend of mine asked what I thought of it, but I was stunned into silence.
I really don't even know where to start.

Maybe you folks can help with some comments ?

That was a waste of 10 minutes of my life (I skipped parts of the talk).

Sorry. We are obviously above this crap, so for us this is a waste of time...

It worries me deeply that such drivel can be served up as expert opinion and that the crowd accepts it with grateful applause.

It worries me deeply that otherwise smart and well informed friends see no problem with this drivel and consider it somehow insightful.

Are typical economists really this bad ? Are audiences genuinely this badly informed not to see how bad he is ? If so, I give up - we are doomed.

Every so often I allow myself to be persuaded that the internet revolution will allow bright young minds, free from the clasp of mainstream media, to create the groundswell of a liberty meme. A good example of this argument is presented here:

http://www.policymic.com/articles/15523/gary-johnson-2012-the-libertarian-revolution-will-not-be-televised

Unfortunately just as often my hopes are dashed by seemingly intelligent educated people churning out stuff like this to adoring audiences.

I omitted the other good argument:
