Hello all,

Has anyone ever seen a pop up security warning with the first chat of the day (or of the login session)? This user (using IE8) does not hear the sound alert until he answers security warning dialog. It only happens on the first chat.

Thanks,

Kirsten

Hi Kirsten,

Good troubleshooting!  I suspect this queue has an avatar set, and the avatar is on a non-secure page (http instead of https).  Since the webchat client is https, IE8 is complaining about the mixed content.

If you have an https site you can host the avatar image on, that should work.

Otherwise, you can set IE to not prompt about mixed content; whether or not that's appropriate likely depends on your organization's policies.  You can set IE to not prompt for mixed content on ANY site in: Tools / Internet Options / Security / Internet Zone / Custom (set Display Mixed Content to "enable").  OR you could add libraryh3lp.com to the trusted sites and then only set this looser security setting for the trusted sites.

Hope this helps!

Best,
Pam

Pam,

Thanks! Moving the avatars to an https location did seem to fix the problem.
