I have a patron who teaches english as a second language to learners of all ages - from 5 to 65. He is interested in using video games of some sort to help his students learn english. I suggested adventure type games on consoles for solo learners. I also mentioned RPGs online. He is especially interested in those as the students could interact with others in real time. He is hoping to have them listen and respond in additon to reading text in a game.
So we have ideas but now I am looking for actual titles. Have any of you done something similar? Do you have any titles to recommend?
Thanks!

I know it sounds silly, but how about Zork?

Or this: http://www.textfyre.com -- this publisher has a modern take
on text-based adventure games. I haven't played any yet, but their
author line-up is pretty good.
