The only hitch I've come up with so far is the need to put a 'we do not take responsibility for the content of external sites' on a poster or post.

It's also a bit fiddly to work with non-black codes, as some colors don't read as well as others. (Was putting a QR code into an entry to the EN World Logo Competition yesterday and it took a bit of mucking around to embed a working code on to a gold background).

It's also helpful to use a service that doesn't shorten urls or goes to a publisher's own shortened url, as it takes dependence on third party data carriers out of the loop. I've a post on QR codes on my blog:

QR Codes

The codes on the page serve as examples of <10Mb RPG downloads. The Win32 Setup sometimes takes a few goes - not with the QR code, but .exe files are problematic coming off an overheated server. The ZIP hits every time, so I'll need to take another look at .exe.Haven't QR coded the PDF version, because it's a large download, but I'm going to try a compressed version shortly.

Your welcome to use anything you like from the QR code post. I'll be posting the EN World entry with its more elaborate code as part of a post over the next couple of days. Any questions - I'm in among your Fbook friends: David Morrison

Best
