Hi Everybody,

I need a recommendation of a first-person shooter game for a tournament.

Here's what it has to do:

Be playable on Wii or PS2
Be rated T or lower
Be multiplayer without Internet access.

Does such a mythical game exist?

The only one the springs to mine is maybe just to a score hunt on one of the Nerf games on the Wii.

Merideth -

There aren't a whole lot of games that meet your criteria, but there is Goldeneye 007 on the Wii. It's a reboot of the classic N64 game, albeit with graphics, controls, and levels updated for the Wii. It's rated T and offers (up to) 4 player split-screen play.

One thing I would advise: Nearly all FPS Wii games are far better served using the Classic Controller or Gamecube controllers. If you don't have any, you may want to borrow some from friendly staff, colleagues, or patrons.

Thanks for the suggestion Toby!

I know the FPS games are easier with Gamecube controllers, but, after complaints at our last tournament, we've had to ban those controllers.

Hello, all!  I'm trying for a grant that would enable me to set up gaming stations in the Library, but one of the snags I'm hitting is the issue of audio - they'll need headphones to avoid being a disruption to other patrons.  I was going to set up a Wii station in the Children's area and a PS3 in the YA area - does anybody have any suggestions as to wireless headphones that would be compatible with either system (or preferably both, so I don't have to buy two different brands)?

Don't know if you've gotten any feedback from anyone else yet, but I
know the University of Michigan's Computer and Video Game Archive has
a set of four Sennheiser RS120 Wireless RF Headphones that they use
for their main Xbox 360/PS3 set-up. I don't recall them having any
headphones for the Wiis, but I'm not entirely sure why that is the
case, if they're incompatible or not.
