Here's a portion of the lookup table for winning (number to left of
colon is your level minus opponent's level) posted by Corlan (I
think), based on the code posted by Wolff (note numbers are rounded in
the table, but not in Wolff's code):
-20 : 0 -6 : 143 8 : 44
-19 : 200 -5 : 136 9 : 38
-18 : 197 -4 : 130 10 : 33
-17 : 194 -3 : 123 11 : 28
-16 : 191 -2 : 115 12 : 24
-15 : 188 -1 : 108 13 : 19
-14 : 184 0 : 100 14 : 15
-13 : 180 1 : 92 15 : 11
-12 : 175 2 : 84 16 : 8
-11 : 171 3 : 76 17 : 5
-10 : 166 4 : 69 18 : 2
-9 : 161 5 : 63 19 : 0
-8 : 155 6 : 56 20 : 0
-7 : 149 7 : 50
The -20 was pointed out as a bug at the time, I think. Moreover,
here's the lookup table for win discounting:
Lvl Win%
16 .87 24 .16
17 .75 25 .11
18 .64 26 .07
19 .53 27 .04
20 .44 28 .01
21 .36 29 .004
22 .28 30 0
23 .21
And the ranks before the game were:
AYB : 21
WFT : 17
Dob : 17
PC : 15
SSS : 1
Zoo : 0
So, in calculating your score:
loss vs PC = -115
win vs SSS = 8*.75 = 6
win vs AYB = 130*.75 = 97.5
win vs WFT = 100*.75 = 75
win vs Zoo = 5*.75 = 3.75
for a grand total of 67.25. Although it looks as if the minimum score
you can get for beating someone is actually 10, so that pushed you to
77. You're really getting points for beating Wolff, and then getting
those discounted by win % (which is fairly harsh). I wouldn't worry
about it too much, because Wolff knows about the scoring issues, and
any time a fix is put in, all scores will be recomputed based on the
new system. For right now, maintaining a rank over 15 is really good,
because the scoring system pulls strongly to level 15, and the best
way to compare how you're doing is to look at relative rank/score.
I will note that the bug for -20 appears to still exist; looking at:
> Sarahmac's Slippery Slopes beats Alex's Yellow
> Beater diff is 10
> Sarahmac's Slippery Slopes now has 292.
> Alex's Yellow Bellies loses 0.0
> Alex's Yellow Bellies now has -130.0
the Slippery Slopes should get 200 points (and I should lose 200), but
that appears to not be happening. It makes a whopping 8 point
difference in her final score for this game, so not a big deal for
now.
