I had everything working so I could interact with launchpad via
Bazaar, but upgrading to Python 2.6.x broke that setup, (note: I have
a launchpad account with an RSA key registered, on windows using
pageant/putty). It used to be that the key stuff was only needed if
you were uploading, but downloading does not seem to work, I can't
paste in the initial
bzr branch lp:leo...
command or do a bzr pull.

I just get an [ERROR 2] no such file... message.

It seems like bazaar is not really connecting to launchpad in a way
that makes those files available, not sure if this would work if I
didn't have an account and key know to bazaar, or its just a defect in
the putty - paramiko toolchain that bazaar uses to sign on to
launchpad.

Anyone on windows have some hints?

When you installed bzr did you install the "standalone" package? The
standalone package doesn't rely on your python installation. If you
installed the "Python 2.5 based" version instead, you probably broke
bzr when you upgraded to Python 2.6.

You can reinstall a new version of bzr without losing the settings
associated with your local Leo repositories and branches.

Download the latest Windows version of bzr here:

No, the 2.6 version.

I'll down load the standalone and try that.

My previous attempts to get this working seemed to falter on mis-
matching dependency packages, the above mentioned pagent and paramiko,
all of which have to do with authenticating you to establish upload
previledges, but seem to be blocking downloads too. Are you set up
for that or are you just doing downloads and never set up a RSA key?

I only use the Pageant program (Release 0.60). I start it manually
after a computer restart, select the key file, and specify the
passphrase.

I finally got this working, I've been using the command line to
interact with bazaar, downloaded the standalone to get brzexplorer to
see if it could handle things, still no luck, got same [error 2] files
not found error, played around with the branch location until I
finally just pasted in the url of the trunk, i.e.:
https://code.launchpad.net/~leo-editor-team/leo-editor/trunk

I'm guessing that the lp:leo-editor, (or lp:<anything>), is just an
alias that stopped working for some reason. Sometimes a program can
try to be so helpful that you don't have any idea where to look when
things go wrong.

Thanks TL
