LEM Swap Mini FAQ - August 9, 2007
By posting to LEM Swap, you agree to follow the rules of the list.
LEM Swap is for buying & selling Mac OS computers and Mac-related
hardware and software. It is not a discussion list or a place to sell
Windows. Be sure to reply to the person who made the original posting,
never to the list.
All postings must include the seller's first and last name and
location: city, state/province, postal code, and country if outside
the US. The buyer and seller are required to provide each other with
full contact information (mailing address and phone number) before
sending funds.
Prefix the subject of your email as follows:
FS - items for sale
WTB - items you want to buy
SWAP - items you want to trade
FREE - items you are giving away
You *must* include an asking price in your posting. Do not sell for
"best price", although you may ask a specific price "or best
offer" (OBO).
Don't ask for pricing guidance on the list. Do your research by
searching the list archive, closed auctions on eBay, dealers who sell
used Macs, and perhaps asking on other lists.
Software piracy is illegal and is not condoned on LEM Swap. Except for
software originally provided with Mac OS computers, no software is to
be left on hard drives (other than freeware) unless the original
installer and password are included for the new user.
See the list FAQ <http://lowendmac.com/lists/swap.html> for guidelines
on postings, feedback, and dispute resolution. The online list FAQ
supersedes this posting and is far more comprehensive.
