After discussion with the other list managers, we've decided to end
our policy of asking that list members not "top post" their replies.
That's the default behavior of most email clients, and just reminding
people of our recommendation to "bottom post" or interleave your
replies has become more trouble than its worth. From this point
forward, top posting is no longer an issue.

Might I suggest a policy or rule remain that people trim and logically sequence posts to make them readable?
Meaning, if you're quoting a reply to a reply, at least put them in a sequence (whether oldest on top or oldest on bottom) that makes sense. And trim all the extraneous stuff.

Dan, I do understand your decision but I'm not sure if it is the best thing to do. Now we have 50% of people posting on top and the other 50% posting on the bottom. Kind of confusing and time consuming if you receive lots of e-mails and you now have to search for the reply.

I belong to and participate in many other lists. I also run a few lists. The lemlists are the ONLY lists I've been on where posting position has EVER been an issue.
Trust me, folks are smart enough to figure it out. It's not rocket science, as they say.
