Below is the LYM YOUTH NEWS but I wanted to emphasize a few things...

We've been sending out weekly reminders since February it's time to get serious and get registered. Deadlines are this coming SUNDAY, MAY 12th REGISTER ONLINE for...

• REGISTER FOR CAMP OC (both Cornerstone & Zenith)
  
• HS REGISTER FOR TREK --Need more people to make it a trip (understand with Honduras mission this summer, its a lot, so we may have to postpone for summer 2014)
  
• HS REGISTER FOR FORTRESS MISSION (deadline for Fortress is not Sunday, but a good count of who is going would be nice, so please register)

Also, you will be receiving an email from our new Church Community Builder this week. This is quickly becoming our new way to register for events, church database and online directory, and tool for communication, planning, event coordination and more. Please take a few minutes and help "fill in the blanks" on your profile and your families profiles.  Please also mark your communication settings preferences. To begin receiving our new text messages you will want to make sure your cell phone information and provider are correct and you have the "twext" feature turned on. Your help in this is much appreciated!

Senior Sunday is May 19th   WEEKLY EMAIL We are excited to announce... JrHi Parents you will begin to receive a weekly email update from Addison. Now that Addison is settling into his ministry role at Legacy he wants to begin communicating with our JrHi parents on a regular basis.  For the next few weeks, as a JrHi parent or student, you may still receive this HS email because we want our 8th grade students and parents to know what is coming up for our HS Ministry this summer.  There are summer registrations and information available.  We hope that this will be a blessing to you and your family as the HS and JrHi Ministries work together to communicate to you opportunities to Connect, Grow, and Live as followers of Christ.  ....Jason DON'T MISS IT! We really need to have registrations turned in for Mission Trips and Trek.   CAMP OC is due by May 13 to avoid late fees.  Register below.  Also, if Trek does not have more participants registered for this summer we will have to postpone until Summer 2014. Any Trek money turned in will be refunded. Legacy is a huge supporter of FORTRESS.  This summer our HS group will be involved with a weeklong mission project at FORTRESS.  We will be working with children, leading VBS type events, playing games, leading worship times, and more!  June 23-28. Don't miss this opportunity! Register NOW --------------------------------------- HS SUNDAY FOLLOW UP... Bible Class Last Sunday Dear parents, We've started a new Sunday Bible Class series that directly impacts you! It's all about family life and focuses on important topics like communication and understanding. This week we looked at James 1:19-27 and James 3:1-12, emphasizing three keys to healthy family communication: being quick to listen, being slow to speak, and being slow to become angry. Take time during the week around the dinner table or in the car to discuss the following: What are ways we as a family can be better listeners? What are ways we as a family can communicate without becoming angry? What are strategies we can employ when we become angry? Be sure to share any thoughts and experiences you have on the challenges of good communication, and take time as a family to pray for one another and encourage one another in becoming a family with good communication skills.
