Meeples on 18th and 24th February

Hope to see many of you on Monday 18th February from 6p.m. and Sunday 24th February from 12.15 at the Victoria Hotel. We'll be posting details of what games we're planning to bring on Twitter a bit nearer the time - but does anyone have any special request?

I enjoyed the Ticket to Ride Asia game with the team rules the other session so I wouldn't mind another game of that or even the other expansions.

Has anyone got a copy of Union Pacific? I think it was designed by the same person who did Ticket to Ride but it has a more of an Acquire mechanism if play - where you can buy into competitors business and gain cash/points for being the major/minor shareholder. I'm sure the same fans of Ticket to Ride would enjoy it. 

Dominion - another of my faves. I have the Prosperity expansion & coudl bring along. But I wouldn't mind playing some of the other expansions like Alchemy or Seaside.

Also Elder Sign cos I'm basically a very very keen HP Lovecraft fan.

We've got a new game called Mundus Novus that we're enjoying playing at home. It seems to take a couple of goes to get into but we'll bring it along (if we can make it to Meeples) in case anyone wants to play.

I request We Didn't Play Test This At All (what a surprise). Also, if anyone has any games written (not just illustrated) by women they could bring that would be great. I've been researching for a blog post on women in board gaming and would really like to have experience of some games to write about in it.

I think I have that list noted down already (I got frustrated with so many posts on BGG being dismissive and sexist, so bristle slightly whenever it is mentioned). I seem to remember it mentioning Thurn & Taxis which I know I've seen at a Meeples and not played. Though like many on the list it's credited to both a man and a woman, I'd be interested in playing it.

Tim, who was on my team in Ticket to Ride Asia and therefore in the photo in Jess's review, brought Thurn & Taxis to the last Sunday Meeples. Not sure how to get in contact though!

Best place to start for Leeds Meeples info is probably here https://sites.google.com/site/leedsmeeples/what-to-expect - if I've got the jist of the Cov group right, I think you'll find the same relaxed atmosphere!

Next meet is this Sunday at Victoria Hotel, and although I will sadly not be attending, I know everyone else will make you feel very welcome, just as they did for me nearly a year ago.
