Hi everyone
We got REALLY BUSY last time we played and we've had some feedback (plus how we felt personally) that it got a bit loud/overwhelming. On Sunday we'll have the bigger room so we are hoping that will make some difference, but we would like to make the following suggestions:
- if you become overwhelmed by noise and the rest of the pub is quiet, it's OK to take a game and some players into the rest of the pub
- likewise, if you're wanting to get very loud and shouty (some games do work that way!) and the main room isn't too noisy, it would be perfectly fine to move into a different area of the pub
- please if possible wear a name badge and encourage others to wear one as this makes the environment less intimidating for everyone - we've had a lot of feedback from people saying the badges made them feel really comfortable
- we're all part of creating the welcoming safe environment (http://www.leedsmeeples.org.uk/what-to-expect) that we are so proud of, but if you encounter anything you're not happy with please let us know and we will address it.
We're happy to welcome so many new people to the group - well done to existing members for making it a place people clearly want to come back to!
