As Dan has already said, the project is OpenStreetMap - interesting 
things are happening in that project at the moment as they're in the 
final stages of a license change which will hopefully make the data 
produced by OSM easier to integrate with other projects without 
licensing issues.

I'm hoping to run an intro to OSM day at some point, so if you're back 
in Leeds you could attend that, if not then OSM Mapping Parties happen 
all over the planet and you might be able to find one local to you - 
details can be found on the OSM event calendar on this page:
