As people are discussing finances and new space I thought we might as
well start trying to get some stuff cheap.

I emailed Bradford RePaint today (closest RePaint) and just got a
response back saying that they're low on White emulsion but have White
masonry which would do is fine I presume (maybe enough, they didn't
say they're short of it) and various colours of floor paint (but
probably not enough for the whole floor in one colour unless we throw
it all in together and have brown).
They charge £1/l which is obviously rather cheaper than we can buy new
and if we get lots they might do us it a bit cheaper than that.

Nav, you worked out how many litres we'd need?

We can contact them and arrange to go look and collect paint when
required.

Wow, that's awesome, and white masonry paint is actually what I'd
suggested we use - it's going onto brick on most walls I think anyway.

I did, but coverage tends to vary by a significant amount. I'll throw
together some numbers again though.

Excellent - good find.

I saw that in my searches but hadn't got round to contacting them.

I'll send them an email as although Bradford RePaint will probably be cheaper, they'll no doubt not have enough white paint for the whole building!

I think we'll be spending less on paint that we intially thought anyway.

+1 for Seagulls. They're based in Burley, about a mile from the city
centre and are easy to get to.

I sent an email to Seagulls on Saturday and have as of yet not had a response back. I'll post when I get one.

From their website they charge £1.50/l unless they do a special deal so Bradford RePaint might be cheaper.
I think we'll need both to even have a chance of getting enough white masonry paint though!

Speak of the devil:

Hi Rob

We dont, unfotunately, get a lot of white masonry paint in, we have  plenty of cream masonry if that is of any use to you?
We charge £1.50 per litre for all paint, which works out at £7.50 for a 5 itre tin, so its very cheap!
We do have floor paint in but again it flies out of the door very quickly!
Give us a call on the number below,  or pop in, if you would like to order any paint
Hope this is of some help.

Kind regards
Kate

I suggest both places are worth a look.

Rob

As long as we have enough of any one colour to do a whole wall I don't
think it *really* matters.
