Hi Leeds.

Tom here from London.

I've been dealing with Hackspace London for a couple of years now and when my company asked me "Do you know anybody techy in Leeds" I thought I'd see if there was a Hackspace Leeds... Bingo !

Just putting a general shout out to the community to see if there are any freelancers out there who would be interested in doing some big screen related work in Leeds ?

I wont divulge the exact location yet but we look after at least 2 giant LED screens in two of the sporting venues we have in Leeds and we need some local support.

Bet I can guess one of them :)

Right now, we're just talking about two or three days work while we blitz the Spring maintenance on the screens... There's a good chance though that if you fit in with our team, there may be more work to follow throughout the year.

Day rates or hourly rates are negotiable but we'd be aiming for a figure of £12 per hour ish.

I wish wish wish we could simply throw this opportunity out to everybody but I'm afraid we can only employ folks who are porperly set up as Freelancers (which basically means you invoice for your work, pay your own tax and have your own Public Liability insurance in place)

The work is going to be swapping and cleaning of electronic components in the screens - all had tool type exercises with no background experience required. (training given on site)

Anybody interested ?
