Last night's hack evening

Just a quick message to say thanks to all the new faces who showed up
last night!

It was great to see more fresh faces. If there's anything more you'd
like to know, or if there's anything that will encourage you to visit
again just let us know.

We're closing the visits poll on Friday - http://leeds.hackspace.org.uk/poll-events-for-2011
- fill it in if you haven't already. There are a few clear favorites
already and we planned vague dates a little last night.

Also there's been interest recently about running more evenings at the
space, so stay tuned to hear more when decisions have been made.

Thanks for taking the time to show us around on Tuesday. Just a quick
question, I remember reading on the blog that you didn't have internet
connection at the space. Is this still the case? Feel a bit naked
without it....

We do, too. There have been broken promises from sponsors which have
lead to a (huge) delay in getting this set up.
We'll be online by February, however - we're awaiting response from Be
Broadband regarding sponsorship, but in the mean time I'm tempted to
get a rolling contract from Zen or similar provider.

As for the additional cost to us this will incur, I encourage everyone
who isn't currently a subscribing member to become one! We're totally
self-funded so we can only afford what you all contribute (and we're
running out of space for donated kit, so donated money will be very
welcome).

Hi Guys,

One of the requests had been to have a tour of the Farnell warehouse.
So I have been in touch with the relevant people and they have said they
are not able to cater for a sat, but if we arrange a weekday before
14:30 they will be happy to show us around.

I would suggest we pick Wednesday 16th feb and go for 12:30, if you are
interested then can you drop an email so can get back to them with an
idea of how many people want to join, and when.
