hi

As is well known the Lecson AC1 was built with the intention of a
remote control for channel and volume. Decades ago I built a Wired
remote for channel changing - a 5 way switch will do the trick if your
interested.

It time to update that ;) Here is a proper remote control, uses a
universal remote and changes channel and alters the volume. There is a
Power relay in the box to switch the AC1/AP1/3/ on and off

Building this I found out the wiring in the manual for the shorting
plug - needed for this if you want to use without the control as it
requires the links cut - is wrong!!

You must be considering selling these...

I wonder how many in the group would purchase one?

I know I would. Nice black Lecson case...

Way cool.

I have not considered selling, the cost is high for the parts alone as
to the labour involved, nope!
there are also safety considerations (liability), this is mains
powered 230vac (transformer change and 110 of course) and as such is
something I would not consider unless I put it through thorough
testing - for a few items that cost is large.

This is different to repairing an existing item! or providing a cable

As to getting a suitable case made in a machine shop, serious $$$ or ££
££ for small runs

Well Alan,

the average life expectancy for men is somewhere around 75 years.

So if you have nothing else to do and are a very patient guy: GOOD LUCK!  :)))
