Subject: public nodes down?

I noticed one of my applications logging an error when trying to connect to
an LR node. I know the sandbox server is in the process of being updated.
Are the public LR nodes being updated as well? Is there a process in place
to let people know when those updates will be happening perhaps warning of
potential downtime?

We're using GoDaddy for the DNS, so their outage is causing some problems.
They're still available via IP address though.  Node02 is available
at 184.73.115.15.  I'm not sure what the IP of node01 is though

That makes sense. I hadn't heard about the goDaddy outage yet. Now i feel smart for stopping my patronage of them after that whole elephant slaughter thing.

But while we're on the topic, what's the upgrade timeline for the public nodes? I'm assuming we'll have to create new auth accounts. Can we do that before the update so there's no downtime for our services?

I plan on doing it early tomorrow.  I'll send out an email as soon as
node01 is done with a link to the UI to create an account.

It's in process… Walt can update everyone with a better timeline… Sandbox should be relatively complete - there might be a few kinks we need to work out still.

Anyone currently publishing to a production node should try publishing on sandbox now to ensure you don't run into any major hiccups.

You can create an account on sandbox by clicking "sign in" here:  http://sandbox.learningregistry.org/apps/oauth-key-management/
