Instructions for Day 9 (Thursday 3 December, 2009)

Hi Everyone!

We hope you are finding the course interesting. We are very impressed
with the progress you are making so far. There are only two days
remaining. Soon you will be a competent wiki developer!

WikiEducator is a community of Educators. One of our core community
values is the belief that educational content is unique (i.e. it is
different from other forms of content). An educational resource is
different in terms of its purpose, structure and format when compared,
for example, to a newspaper article, or a novel.

Those of you with experience in distance education will be familiar
with the educational elements that are embeded in our teaching
materials. For example, learning objectives and in-text activities
etc. Working through our WE tutorials you would have noticed the
special layout we use for learning objectives, discussion activities,
teaching tips. In our wiki jargon, we call these pedagogical wiki
templates. Templates are pre-designed to save you time with more
complex layouts required of instructional materials.

Today you will learn how to add these pedagogical templates to your
pages.

Instructions for Day 9 can be found directly on the wiki:

Important:

Please don't forget to leave us feedback under Wiki Questions and
Feedback page. It will help us improve the course :-)

Thank you.

It's not the speed with which you are coming in, it is the fact that you come in at all. In the end, if you have followed all instructions and I know you will digging into your own expertise, you will be on your way of becoming a truly skilled WikiMaster (;-)))

We are here even after the course ends on Friday for another few days before we have to unsubscribe all, to make room for the next group, who will start on Monday, December 14, 2009. This is a compressed course of only 5 days. If anyone would like to sign up again, feel free to do so here: http://www.wikieducator.org/Learning4Content/Registration

Cheers,
Patricia

Patricia,
I would like to sign up for the next class and finish activities for this one. I got way way behind due to illness with my back and two online classes in, of all things, online learning. Tonight I will start catching up and go on through this weekend two or more hours a day. Then, I will take the next session. Since my information is given for this clasds, what else should I do to sign in for the next?
Gene

My facilitators/ colleagues
Thanks, the course is going on well and I am really enjoying it. Todays
lesson is special since I have been using Exe to upload content to moodle-
it is marvelous software, particularly since you can work offline and then
you can upload the content letter-in a poor resource country like ours-
internet is expensive and scarce in some areas-though it is improving.
Good also for monitoring quality it can agreed that after some quality
assurance process content can be uploaded.
