Instructions for Day 7 (Tuesday 1 December, 2009)

Hi Everyone!

As you know, the wiki environment allows registered users to edit most
of the pages. You might want to keep track of certain pages by adding
the pages to your watch list. Today you will learn how Wikieducators
collaborate by editing others' pages, how to revert undesired
additions, and learn a few tricks on how to monitor activity on the
wiki.

Today we will also learn how to revert a vandal entry in the wiki in
the rare event that this happens. Many educators are concerned about
the openness of wiki editing, so today we'll demonstrate and teach
you how to revert an edit in the wiki.

Instructions for day 7 can be found directly in the wiki:

Some feedback for you

We really impressed with the collaborations forming and the progress
on your user pages. The Wiki is a powerful tool and you are just
learning how to use it to your advantage. We am sure all of you have
had already plenty of ideas on how you can implement the newly gained
knowledge into your work. Congratulations to all of you :-)

Those of you that have joined us over the weekend or couldn't spend as
much time as you might have wanted to, please don't give up, there is
still enough time for you to catch up.

Warm regards,

The Facilitators of EL4C32

To our wonderful leaders,
I was at te live session. It demonstrated the potential for people to communicate, learn, and help others without expecting something in return.. I am finding this whole process unusual and unbelieveable. To be at a live conference  realizing that people were from all over the world. At the same time, speaking about a communication process that is invaluable with unlimited potential to bring out creativity, potential, and help humanity world over.
Thanks

I have to agree about the wonder of that live session. I have been "high"
from it all week even though I have had to come back to the reality of
piles of work...it is really exciting for me as a child of the 1960's to be
able to live in a time when "the local is truly the global" and vice versa.
It was great!!!! Joyce

Dear Joyce,

You are expressing exactly what many of us feel. The power of our community, the common goals and the dedication and efforts that are coming out of the L4C trainings have been phenomenal and very inspiring, and although the Wiziq session served the purpose of giving a voice to our participants, inform about WE developments etc, they do create a sense of togetherness and belonging that is important to all of us, because you gain a better understanding and base to work from. Stay close, you won't regret it

Warmest,
Patricia

Hi everybody,

I am really sorry I missed the online presentation! Had a little accident just before the start - the short version - I ended up on the floor with my desk chair on top of me (my 17 yr old daughter fell about laughing hysterically - until she realised I was hurt!) - see what happens when I try to multi task!  Have listened to the recording and it was fun to hear your voices - I have always had this thing about radio announcers - you get a mental picture from listening to them and then when you actually see a visual or them in real life they are NOTHING like you imagined :-)

I look forward to going back to check out your profile pages to see how everyone has progressed.

kind regards,

Sandy

Thanks Gene,

I'm OK really, just a little sore , could have been a lot worse. Everybody keeps telling me to hang in until she's 25, but I'd have to say that so far, on the whole I am blessed - the gods have sent a wonderful human to share this part of the journey with me.
