I am new to wikis and even to technology. I am only going to just
start my student teaching next week so I do not have any experience
yet in the teaching area. I have registered for the next online
workshop that will be given this month (January). After reviewing the
Learning Contract, I am unclear on which area I can develop at least
one free content resource. I was considering items 1 (A handout or
worksheet to support classroom teaching) or 2 (A professional
development resource for educators or trainers) but am not really sure
about either. It is difficult to sign for these sort of things when I
am unclear on what I will be able to do. I am a very responsible
person and do plan on contributing back but am not sure on what I will
be capable of doing based on my limited experience in both education
and technology. Also, I do not know how long it will take me to
provide this as I understand that student teachers and first year
teachers tend to have extremely busy schedules. On a good note, I
have spent the last several hours reviewing the information and
tutorials that your site has provided and feel that I have learned
tremendously by doing this. I am determined to move forward with this
online workshop but would like advice on what to sign off on.

Also, where do I get the fax # for my workshop facilitator?

Thank you.

Dear Donna,

You don't have to decide right here and now what you are going to
develop under the Learning contract. Ideas will come up as we go along.
These could be a teacher's handout, student guide or something that
could help things along in the area of your expertise. A handout or
worksheet to support your classroom sounds great.

We certainly appreciate your thoroughness. Welcome aboard.

You can fax the learning contract to me at Patricia Schlicht at 1 604
775 8210 or you could just email it to me at the above email address.

Warm regards,
Looking forward to seeing you online
Patricia
