Day before yesterday I went to Sri Sri Radha Parthasarathi temple to attend evening Gita class by HH Giriraj Maharaj. Naturally, at the end of the class Maharaj emphasized on the importance of book distribution & appreciated Delhi devotees for their efforts.
Then after the class, HG Krishnarupa Mataji (GKG) shared her experience with Maharaj as well as other assembled devotees. Its really inspiring. If you feel it ok, please share it with others.
On 1st Jan-2012, she along with her team of a few girls went for book distribution. Being the New Year Day, there were gathering of huge crowed everywhere in Delhi city. But very few people were interested in buying Bhagvat Gita. Then suddenly an idea came into her mind & she approached a person, who was not at all interested to buy, & told “ please read any 1 page from this book & then return it to me; you don’t need to buy this book….” It worked miraculously!!!! The man purchased the book after reading a page. Then they started applying this formula & she & her team distributed 331 books that day!!!! 80% of the people on whom they applied this formula, purchased a copy, except a few very unfortunate ones!!!
His Holiness was very happy hearing this & clapped sitting on the vyasasan. He mentioned that it is proof that if one reads just 1 page, or 1 paragraph, or 1 sentence, or even 1 word of Srila Prabhupada’s book, his life changed!!!!
