Hope you're having an amazing summer so far.  If anyone will be near campus during the summer, send me an email if you'd like to help out at the farm!!  We've started planting and such and I'll need lots of help when the weeds arrive!

Just wanted to share some BIG LEAP news...we got the grant that will fund the composting project for the future!!  The DEP awarded us $40,000 for two Earth Tub composting bins and two food pulpers/water extractors.  The Earth Tubs will be located at Metzgar and the pulpers in the dining halls.  Each Earth Tub can compost up to 500 lbs of food waste per day--that's almost the entire amount of food waste produced on campus.  Woohoo!!
