What are the team members to perceive when a leader is emotionally
unstable? Will they follow their leader's instructions if he/she is
sometimes arrogant, and sometimes polite; emotions totally
unpredictable? Well, if you are working with such a leader, then you
are surely to lose interest in the task. You will never understand how
and what exactly the task is for.

Say, for instance, my boss bombards me due to some reasons. So I am
obvious to get enraged or mentally disturbed. Now I carry the same
enraged emotions to my team members when we are to decide on an
important task. Fellows wait for my decision but I belligerently
respond - "Can't you people decide on your own? Do whatever you wish.
Don't bother me for these simple tasks." At this point of time, I have
certainly not thought about any consequences. After few days, I wish
to check on the same task. It is not done as it should have been as
per me. So I am again bitter on the fellow people working on it.
"Don't you people have brains? Is this the way you work on this task?
Silly brainless creatures..."

It is certainly my fault. When I should have participated in decision
making, I was emotionally hit because of my boss. And when I left the
decision on to the members, I couldn't accept their work because it
was not the way I expected. So now I again have to instruct them for
completing the task following my procedure. So time spent by them on
working in their own way was wasted. Thus efficiency is lost. It is
further reduced as now they are also emotionally disturbed. Contiguity
of emotional unstability from top management to bottom-line is
irresistible. Thus making very important that a leader remains
emotionally stable. He/she shouldn't pass on the hindering emotions to
his team members. Sometimes it becomes intense and you may need to
postpone the decision to better emotional time - helping you avoid
reduced efficiency.

Sir,
I was not able to maintain continuity with LeadCap, due to lack
internet connectivity 24x7. But, now I have access to internet 24x7.
So please let me know the areas where I can be helpful.

I'll try to write some articles based on my leadership experiences (as
in this article). Apart from that, I'll also need your guidance.

Thanking you.

Hello Mr.Anup,

I am also waiting for some !deas from leadcap which we would implement over here... Because the culture of Gujarat and Banglore is too different.

Sir,

I believe, I am multi-cultured person. I am born and brought up in
Gujarat, but my mother tongue is Marathi and my ancestors are from
Karnataka (though I don't know Kannad). So my behavior/attitude
matches all these cultures, making people confused. Apart from that, I
had my 4 years of Graduation in IT-BHU, Varanasi, UP. I had been with
many friends, from all over India (UP, Bihar, Orissa, Punjab,
Rajasthan, MP, Maharashtra, AP, TamilNadu, Himachal Pradesh, etc). And
I had also visited almost all states in India except Kerala, 7
Sisters, Jharkhand and Haryana. So kind of familiar to almost all
cultures of India.

So, I believe there is unconstrained cultural unity and nothing to
bring in cultural differences.
:)
