Weather prediction summary10-8-2009: Final weather update maps have been added. Consistent with early comments, best location is the central valley of California. There are no changes from the 10-7 comments. NOAA forecasts issued 10-7-2009 shows patchy fog in the a.m. at Seattle to Portland and from San Francisco to San Diego. The Central Valley of California and central Nevada are the best observing points. Based on NOAA forecasts issued 10-6-2009, a front passes through the pacific northwest on Oct. 8 but does not fully depart the Pacific northwest, leaving clear skies over California on the morning of Oct. 9. Most of Oregon, California and Nevada are shown with low percentages of sky cover or effectively clear. Idaho, Utah, New Mexico and Arizona are shown on the NOAA sky cover prediction map with sky cover up to 30% to 40% depending on location, but clearing in the western part of those states. A high zone centered over Utah dominates the western United States. Southern California is predicted to have morning fog or haze. Weather resource links
