Notes for editors:

Most of the cells in the table on this page can be modified using the nomal editing tools.  To add a row, it is necessary to use the "Edit HTML" function at the lower right end of the editor window.  Before making changes, it is wise to save a copy of the current HTML code to a text file so that the page's contents can be restored in the event an error is made but not noticed until after the page has been re-saved.

The easy way to add a row is to copy and paste the lines appearing between a pair of <TR></TR> HTML tags, then to edit the content of the <TD></TD> cells between them.

Clickable versions of photos stored in the Group's Files area can be added using the models provided.

For adding clickable thumbnails of images submitted as e-mail attachments see this message.  As explained there, the correct HTML for displaying the thumbnail should have the appearance "http://groups.google.com/group/lcross_observation/attach/ffd8ce348247...".  The e-mail thumbnail images normally DO NOT appear in the HTML "Preview" mode, but they SHOULD appear after the "Update" button has been clicked.  Under certain circumstances, possibly having to do with the web browser or the platform being used for editing (for example, Firefox/Mozilla on a Mac?), Google will incorrectly replace the "/attach/ffd8ce348247bda4/" part of each such URL with "/web/".  When this occurs, the thumbnails of e-mail attachments will NOT display after clicking "Update".  If the page is saved in this state, the thumbnails of the e-mail attachments will be lost, and they will have to be restored by hand-editing each URL.

In short, make sure all images display as desired BEFORE clicking the "Save & Publish" button.  If any of them are incorrect or missing, click "Discard all changes" and try again.
