Saturday Nov 21st Tree Planting (Drivers/Trucks)

Hello Everyone...

 

I want to thank all the drivers for agreeing to participate this Saturday.   I have attached a spreadsheet that lists what group you are in and what you will be hauling.

 

Tree/Equipment Trucks:  Please meet at Arsenal Park on Saturday at 7:30 a.m. to help un-load the trees from the WPC box truck and onto your individual trucks per your assigned route. Rob and I will be there to help.

Topsoil Trucks:  Please meet at Cavacini's Landscaping Inc. (100 50th Street - Lawrenceville) at 8:00 a.m on Saturday

Backup Truck: Please meet at Cavacini's at 8:00 a.m. as backup in case one truck breaks down or does not show for some reason....

Topsoil & Mulchers - When you arrive at Cavacini's please tell them you are part of the TreeVitalize planting and tell them what to dump in the back of your truck.  After your truck is loaded, please head to Arsenal Park for registration and tree demonstration.  As you go through the day, you may need more loads so please talk to your team leader for approval.  Team Leaders - if you are getting to the end of your route, please call other drivers to see if you can share before re-loading at Cavacini's.  Also, if you are done with your route please assist other groups.  We should all finish at the same time :)

 

Jeff - please forward this to AJ since he is a driver.

 

Christine - please pick up the coffee (Perk Me Up) and pastries at Dozen and have them ready at 8:15 or so.   Please handle the sign-up sheet and make sure everyone prints clearly.    I will use the sign up sheet  to order pizza for lunch.  Thanks :)

 

Matt - Can you bring 2 tables, 1 for sign up and 1 for food?

 

Schedule of Events:

8:45 (sign up & introduction) 

9:00 (tree demonstration) 2 trees on 40th street

9:30 or so (break up into 3 groups and move out to the neighborhood) I will have 3 signs - Group A B C listing the addresses of each planting so the volunteers/homeowners have a choice of where they want to volunteer.  Team leaders can then hand out maps/spreadsheet to their volunteers and organize them out of the park to go to 1st tree planting site.

1:00 meet at LU for pizza

1:30 back out to plant

After planting we will meet at Nied's for appetizers and drinks (Lisa will keep Nied's posted as to time and volunteers)

 

If you have old newspaper, please bring it with you on Saturday and we'll load it onto the trees/equipment truck.

 

I will have a contact sheet of cell numbers for all the drivers so you can stay in touch with each other during the course of the planting. 

 

All drivers --- please resond to this email so I know you are still able to participate.

All others I will see you at 8:30 at the park!  

 

Let me know if I missed anything or if you have any questions.
