This anthology of police abuse reveals many instances, including
police tazing and murdering a young man burned and lacerated all
over from a car wreck.

I do not know of any substitute for arming yourself and becoming an extreme, stealthy danger to abusive police. The majority of those in this anthology belong in prison for their crimes committed under color of police authority. I would not blame citizens, particularly victims, for hunting and stalking the abusers and excising them from the planet.
Each person must deal with this as seems appropriate. How do you teach your children about the dangers of police abuse? How do you protect them from it?
