Dear All,

When I was facing the Overprinting issue in my Output PDF, I could find the solution by using "overprint.sty" (http://tex.aanhet.net/overprint/).

Issue:
For some designing purpose, I have included the "pstricks" packages within my current working file.
After including this package, I am facing the issue in  Overprinting again. If I remove the "pstricks" package then things are working fine.

Attachment:
I have attached the sample zip file & screen shots for your quick reference.

Please update me the solution for this issue. Advance thanks for your favor.

Remind me, what was the overprinting issue?

PStricks only works with DVI and PostScript, not with pdflatex. Converting may work, but PostScript has no Transparency.

What is the difference? I can only see that the overlay is lighter without pstricks.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your response on my request. Please find my answers for your queries in below:

Please find the explanation for overprinting from the link "http://tex.aanhet.net/overprint/".

Yes, agreed. But, I am working with dvips only not with pdflatex.

By using "Advanced > Overprint Preview" from "Acrobat Professional", you can get color separation preview as per the attached screenshots.

Whenever, you are deactivating the Black, then all the black colors should go off.
This is happening when I have not used "pstricks" package in my TeX file. Check my previous attachment "sample-without-pstricks.jpg"

If, I used the package "pstricks" then I am getting the white shaded characters within the color box while using the preview option in Acrobat Professional, you can cross check this by viewing my previous attachment "sample-with-pstricks.jpg"

Please let me update if you are not clear.

Ah. OK. Thanks. I've never had to do it this way: I do very little work with spot colour or machine tints.

By using "Advanced > Overprint Preview" from "Acrobat Professional", you can get color separation preview as per the attached screenshots.

I think this is what you generate with pstricks and dvips is conflicting with whatever you are generating with pdflatex. I've never used Acrobat for this, I'm afraid, so I don't have any answer.

Hi

You can set 100% black to overprint with Acrobat Pro. Go to Advanced >
Preflight and create a custom profile which contains fixup "Set all
black text and vector objects to overprint".
