Damnit, Visicut beat my project to a decent launch. I didn't know they
were this far ahead, maybe it's worth a lasersaur module?

I saw on the Visicut site today that he's added a lasersaur driver. It has a bold warning though that it is untested and could be dangerous. Forgive the ignorance, but in what way could his driver be dangerous? Could it physically damage the system if it's wrong?

Cheers,
Gabriel

Great news, but now what?
I have been trying to run Visicut on my mac, but so far no success with the software. It says that mapping or material are not supported on the lasaur - so what do I do wrong - any idea?

Cheers
Mischa

visicut uses a database of materials and machines , i’d guess your selecting a material and or do not have a lasersaur database set up
look for  VisiCut-MaterialDB on your pc .

the link to the database is

see distribute.sh in the distribute folder ,

the above should help , i’m only just finding my way around it also

Has anyone tried Visicut yet?  Would it be safe for me to try it out, or could I damage my system?  Anyone?

Thanks,
Gabriel

I tried it last week and didn't get very far, but I was waiting on
NORTDs latest update before I try again.
