ive been looking around and researching for parts for my 1996 saab
9000 aero and i wanted to know if anybody has a manual transmission
cause mine is automatic which i wish it wasnt and also i wanted to
know where i can get upgrades like coilovers, drilled and slotted
rotors, boost gauges, diverted valve/blow off valves, exhaust and
stuff like that just to hook my car a bit more any help would be
greatly appreciated

It was prob a better idea to get the diverter valve...but i love the BOV sounds and it goes well with the open air intake. Some people online have mentioned that you could just drill some holes in your black box but that's up to you. I did a stage 1 ECU upgrade from JZW because I was on a budget but wanted do at least a stage 1 ECU upgrade. I recently have had some issues and have had different opinions about what might be wrong. JZW also sells the ETS intercooler if you're interested for $10 cheaper than GS, but I don't know how much he will charge for shipping. For Front and rear Anti-Sway bars, I've read about SAS being a great brand. For Coilovers and new dampers, I'm still unsure but I've heard that Eibach springs and Koni Dampers being a great combo. Also SAS offers rear spring spacers. People mention that the 9k sags a little in the back xD no pun intended! I've noticed a lot of people go with the JT 3'' full exhaust system. Some people just mention that you need to get the 3" downpipe and you can go to a local muffler store and they can get all the piping done for you for cheaper. I don't have one myself and prob will be doing it later on, so I can't really give you an opinion on that, but you can find the JT 3" also on genuinesaabs website.
I don't know if the 96 AERO has a MAF sensor, but if you do it's best if you just get the forge diverter. You don't have to worry about your air:fuel ratio being all out of wack because of all the air going out from the BOV...blah blah blah lol aka not worrying about your car running rich....

this is really helping me out and ill have to upgrade my car small
chunks at a time cause mine is an automatic and cant push it too much
and ive been reading that the automatic version is 200hp and the 5
speed version is 225hp and they have different turbos can anybody
confirm or deny that cause then it would allow me to forsure know what
i have and know how much im pushing out of my car cause its not gonna
be my track car not ready for that yet

This will give you some basics of the models and years for the 9000. Being Auto or Manual . An Aero Automatic and an Aero Manual will have he the same Engine but the manual has a TD04 and you have a T25 in the Auto. You are correct at the 25HP difference.
As for the Automatics I can tell you that I had a 4 speed in my OG9-3 (2000 9-3 SE HOT) and I was pushing over 300+Hp and never suffered a transmission issue and I raced and abused my car. So take some time and plan your upgrades right and when you get to tune it make sure it has a gradual rollon of power and torque and you will be solid.
As for the turbo options this is model and year specific too. Saab has used a variety of turbos in their cars from a GT-17, T25 and TD04-HL 15 G and 15T (in the OG9-3 and the 9-5) (this is all based on the 4 cyl. motors B204L (or E cant remember) B204R and then the same line up for the B234's in later years). I don't comment too much on the V6 as its not really worth tuning.

Personal opinion on your car is to take care of all the mechanicals (vacuum lines, gaskets, seals etc..) first and then do suspension modifications and then do boltons and then do a tune. If you go in this order you will ensure that the drivetrain can support the power you want to put down.
TD04's can be had for a reasonable cost used in good condition and pair that with a tune and your car will make every bit as much HP as the manual stock.
See if you can talk Andrew Ortiz into selling you the TD04 he has sitting on his shelf at home! And I will throw the Aero software on it for you.

i know the muffler shop like 5 minutes away from my house does a good
job and fair price so im not worried about that only thing i was
really worried about was the transmission cause im not sure what it
can handle but it looks to have been possibly upgraded or replaced by
the 1st owner only thing holding me back right now is the money and
all the different tuning options cause i was thinking of going with
maptun just cause i had seen it on drew's brothers red saab 9000 and
thats the 1st day i fell in live with that body style :P but you all
have been helping me out a lot with this thanks and ill definetly look
into all the possibilities my saab can do

the lady that i bought the car from never did anything to the car
except the oil change which means she wouldnt know what was done to
the car and its gonna be up to me to clean everything up like new
parts here and there which isnt a problem but i the transmission
looks different then my other saab which is a 1994 saab 9000 cde also
automatic havent gotten to drive it cause the fuel pump is bad and i
wanted to know if anyone knew how much these cars are suppose to be
boosting at from the factory
