Does it show up in job adverts? Are there books?

There are a number of books. Job postings as well on sites like Dice
and Indeed (though, you need to look out for such things as "a really
groovy job").

Since you don't seem to be tracking Rails, I won't ask about the
Groovy equivalents Grails and Griffon, either of which would mean you
are writing Groovy.

Hrm - ok, I'll look into adding it. My personal opinion is that
Groovy isn't really going to go anywhere, but that's no reason not to
include it.

No, I definitely don't track things that happen to use various
languages as that would quickly become maddening!
