yup, we can still use some help!  weeding is really a serious priority right now, so that's great.  let's talk about days you can come out.  email, or text 401-273-0914.  calling is fine too! but voicemail has a tendency to be unnoticed.
thanks,
Catherine

I am definitely interested in helping out!  The only skill I have right now is weeding but I'd love to learn more about farming.  The day I would be able to get up there might change from week to week (I am a student at URI and work part-time) but I will be able to make it once a week.  Let me know if you could still use the help.
Cheers,
Kathleen

For those not familiar with this arrangement, it means you become a member of our CSA in exchange for 1 day of work per week. The work varies and is dependent on your skill-set, but here are a few typical farm chores that are almost always happening: weeding, picking, washing, mowing, raking, hoeing, spreading compost, feeding chickens, greenhouse work, carpentry, planting, irrigation maintenance, pruning, rototilling etc.
What you get: A generous pile of seasonal produce each week which is usually worth $20-30, fresh air, exercise, sunshine, and hopefully a bit of farming knowledge that you didn't have before. We are looking for folks who can plan to work 1 day a week until at least Nov. 1. If you like the work and want to keep at it longer, we'll have need of labor right up til Christmas.

Thanks,
Matt & Catherine

Hello Mary,
Sounds good. We are still looking, as we had a no-show. Monday and Weds. especially are days we need help. It would be great if you wanted to come and say hi tomorrow (weds.) just to chat and get a sense of the place; if you're up for it, you could try your hand at a few chores.
If Wednesday doesn't work to meet, throw out a few other days!

Thanks,
Matt

Hi Catherine,
I'm not sure if you are still looking for help but, I'm available Mon, Wed, or Fri. I have a large garden myself, chickens, weed, mow, plant, and prune plants around the yard (not fruit trees, but don't need  much instruction). I'd love to learn more.

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you all yet, school just started and I'm trying to nail down a final schedule.  I can come up for a few hours Friday 9/21 morning (7am-10:30?) or Saturday 9/22 (same time) if that's acceptable
