The output of "look()" on page 80 shows the term "OF A WIZARD'S HOUSE"
which is not part of the initialisation of *nodes* on page 70 nor
content of the downloadable sources.

I mean "(look)"! Thanks

The trouble continues on page 80. I couldn't get "(defun walk ...)"
to compile and found a substantial different runnable version in the
downloadable sources. Why do these items not appear in the errata list
of the books website ?

The "(look)" case is known since 13. Dec 2010 ...

Thanks Thomas

The text seems to have been corrected. The edition I have in front of
me shows the following:

> (look)
(YOU ARE IN THE LIVING-ROOM.
A WIZARD IS SNORING LOUDLY ON THE COUCH
THERE IS A DOOR GOING WEST FROM HERE
...)

(output snipped - I suspect the problem appeared on the first line for
you)

The edition I'm looking at is the No Starch printing of 2011 - no
revision history is given, but I suspect you're looking at another
edition, is this correct?

Interestingly, the code in my edition is substantially different from
the code on the downloadable sources, but it seems to work. Here's
what I'm looking at:

(defun walk (direction)
(let ((next (find direction
(cdr (assoc *location* *edges*))

Sorry - inadvertantly posted prematurely

(defun walk (direction)
(let ((next (find direction
(cdr (assoc *location* *edges*))
:key #'cadr)))
(if next
(progn (setf *location* (car next))
(look))
'(you cannot go that way.))))

As I say, this works for me and I hadn't had any trouble with it. I
suppose we could examine this against the posted code to see what's
what, if you like. Might be a good exercise.

Thanks for your response. I finally got your "defun walk... " to
compile.

I'm quite disappointed about the (in my eyes) not maintained errata
list.
Perhaps there should be 2 lists: one for the first and another for the
second edition of the book

Yeah, unfortunately you're right: I've fallen behind on maintaining
the errata list... sorry.

I'll try to get it up to date in the next couple of weeks.
