NPS TO WAIVE ENTRANCE FEES FOR VETS AND MILITARY ON VETERAN'S DAY, PARK ATTRACTIONS TO OFFER VETERAN'S DAY DISCOUNTS
LAS VEGAS – The National Park Service will be waiving entrance fees for current military members, veterans, and their families at all parks that charge entrance fees, including Lake Mead and Lake Mohave, on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. To thank them for their service, attractions that operate in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area (NRA) will be offering discounts on food, rentals, and excursions.
The fee waiver only applies to entrance fees and not lake use fees or camping fees. Visitors need only inform the fee station attendant that they are a veteran or military member to receive the waiver.
The following are promotions and discounts that will be offered at Lake Mead NRA. Visitors should contact the businesses directly for full details or to book reservations.

o 50% off for a “single” or a 2 for 1 special on a raft trip on Nov. 11, 2008 to all military personnel. Must show retired or active military ID. Mention this “special” when making the reservation.
