Subject: NYC: Movement Research at the Judson Church

Hi friends!

Please spread the word!

I am heading to New York from Los Angeles to show
an excerpt of my latest work, "Bricklayers with a
Sense of Humor," at Movement Research at the
Judson Church next Monday.

"Bricklayers..." is a collection of movement
scores based on analogies and embodiments of
political processes, both in our larger
collective experience and as they unfold in the
studio. The scores attend to kinesthetic events
as well as formalist concerns, in order to probe
our state of being.  They will be performed by
Maureen Dunn, Arianne Hoffmann, Rachel Lopez, and
Ally Voye to sound scores by composer Douglas
Wadle.

All of us have been working in Los Angeles
lately, some with Simone Forti, others with Vic
Marks, Dan Froot, Kristen Smiarowski, Hana van
der Kolk, Meg Wolfe, or the late James Tenney.
Some of us have MFAs, are students,
choreographers, composers, teachers, writers, or Š

Maybe you are interested in seeing the work?

All the best,

Arianne Hoffmann
