World Festival of Sacred Music presents
GIVING THANKS
an expression of gratitude for all our moments
music, dance of BRAZIL, INDIA, HAWAII

Featuring 45 artists from
Viver Brazil
Shakti Dance Company
Halau Keali'i O Nalani

It is a rare rare thing. As soon as they met, artistic directors - Linda Yudin, Keali'i Ceballos & Viji Prakash began to talk as if they always knew each other. Ideas, songs, time measures & movement poured out them eager and urgent.  As musician, Luiz Badaro played out a rhythm with his fingers on the table, Indian and Hawaiian choreographers Viji & Keali'i began almost immediately to establish a cadence... a movement phrase.  It was a natural thing...

Come, witness this shared spirit and intense energy as three of LA's most exciting dance companies share the stage to offer - the splendor of refined classical Indian dance; the deeply expressive movement and chant from Hawaii and the fiery tempo of Afro-Brazilian dance.
