Chapter meeting updates

Hi All Chapter 49 members,

We've all had a busy few months of flying. But our Chapter meetings
are getting back on schedule. We had a brief meeting last Saturday
07/19 at CP Aviation to review the Apple Valley contest. The contest
went well overall but there were a few glitches that we are working to

Hello Flyers.. especially AC owners,

I was informed yesterday that the fuel price at Agua Dulce is $5.10 .. not bad considering....

Just thought I would pass that along!

Hi everyone

For those of you who missed it the chapter had a quick meeting on Sat.
the 19th where we discussed the past couple of months.

First off the chapter is fiscally well off. We may even turned a bit
of a profit for next years contest. Issues that created problems were
discussed and solutions suggested. As for the future, nominations for

Noise Complaints in the SZP Practice Area

I have been informed that an individual living west of Fillmore and
North of the 126 has been complaining about aircraft noise in the
area.

Please make sure to avoid this area. Either fly south of the 126 over
the river bed west of Fillmore or east of Fillmore over the river bed.

Santa Paula Aerobatic Area

Hi All,

Yesterday I had a phone call from the FAA and we have a very unhappy
person on the North side of the 126. This person has contacted
Supervisor Kathy Long's office who in turn contacted the FAA. The
complaint is NOISE. I would like to ask that anyone flying a high
performance airplane such as a Pitts or Extra stay away from the North

Dance at the Santa Paula Airport. Come Dance Under the Stars with

My experience with success in teaching aerobatic competition students
has led me to conclude there are four variables: instructor,
airplane, student and grading judge. Any involvement at all is both
rare and praiseworthy; consistent success is remarkable.

It's amazing how a sport filled with so many truly wonderful people
can also attract myopes like JR.

CP Aviation and its instructors deal with pilots on a global level,
doing everything in their power to make pilots safer and to rekindle
the joy for flying in many who may have lost their passion for flying.
