Aurora National Life Assurance Company, a well-capitalized,

in assets, is currently seeking:
MS SQL Server DBA
The responsibilities of this Database Administrator position will
be the focal technical role for the establishment of database
projects and work plans in addition to the monitoring and fine
tuning of database performance. Specific tasks include the
establishment and maintenance of standards and procedures for the
design and development of corporate data models; overseeing and
participating in data modeling activities, and ensuring
compliance with corporate data standards and practices. The
individual will also develop and maintain corporate encyclopedias
and data dictionaries, work with users and development teams on
their use of corporate data models, resolve model conflicts, and
ensure the integrity between business data models and physical
databases. The individual will also perform data analysis as
required, database back-up, and establish a Disaster Recovery
plan.
Requirements include 3 years of Information Systems experience
including at least 2 years in a Database Administration capacity
using MS SQL Server. Additional requirements include a working
knowledge of PC platform development (Windows 3.11 and NT), LAN
environments (Novell-Token-Ring & NT), mainframe to PC data
transfers plus experience in utilizing supporting software in MS
SQL Server. A related college degree or equivalent experience is
preferred.
