Simple database search page

I have a simple two-field SQLite database that acts like a small dictionary - one field holds a list of words, the other, their meanings.

Does anyone have an example to share of a simple search page module that uses the database access library? Ideally it would include the module interaction piece that would allow the search page to appear as a page within an existing Content module.
