New Bible Study Begins
The study books for our Wed. Singles Bible Study,
"Discovering God's Will", are on backorder. As a result, another study
book will be purchased tomorrow and begun on Wed. The group meets every
Wed. evening at 7:15 p.m. in Room D219. You do not need to be a member
of the church to attend.
Ft. Worth, Here We Come!
Every four years, the global church of the United Methodist
Church gathers to discuss issues and make changes regarding policies of
the church. The Texas Annual Conference, of which MDUMC is a part, will
have delegates representing us which were elected at last year's Annual
Conference at the Woodlands UMC. This year, the General Conference will
be held in Ft. Worth Apr. 23-May 2. Being held in Texas gives us a
once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend this event and see our church
in action! On Thurs., May 1, the singles of our church plan to travel
by church van to Ft. Worth for the day. We'll leave early (maybe as
early as 5:30 a.m.!) so that we can get there early enough to hear the
debate and discussion on the plenary floor of the conference. We hope
to return about 9:00 p.m. We'll collect $10 per person to help pay for
the gas. If you would like to go, please contact sherikel...@mdumc.org
as soon as possible.
First Friday Flicks
A night out at the movies! Come join us for a great movie,

13194 Memorial Dr. Everyone is asked to bring a snack to share.
Children are welcome, but please bring a movie for them that's
age-appropriate. Following the viewing of the movie, we'll discuss
where we saw God in it! This is a great way to spend a casual Fri.
evening!

be great fun, so make a point to attend!
