Hiring for a Linux Sysadmin

I need to hire an experienced (3 yrs or so) Linux Sysadmin.  We have 40+ linux boxes of various distros, a couple NetBSDs, two AIX and one HPUX.  The pay will be 60k - 80k depending on qualifications and experience.

I don't need a do-it-all expert, we already have those.  We need competent staff who enjoy working on Linux Boxes, Bind DNS, Apache Servers, PHP servers, Tomcat Servers, Sendmail and Spamassassin.

So here is the formal Posting:

Afferent Security Labs, a technology leader in managed security services and appliances, is accepting applications for a full time Linux administrator.  Candidate will be responsible for providing ongoing software installs, upgrades and maintenance. They may also assist in the development for various Linux applications in a large multi-server environment. Ideal candidate will be productive with most of the scripting tools and languages and will help build and maintain many customized mail and security based applications.  MUST be comfortable at the kernel level and compiling packages from Source. Big plus would be experience in a hosting and high availability environment.

Hands on experience administering PHP, Apache, Mysql, Bind, Sendmail environments is expected. Familiarity with Nagios, MRTG, SNMP, SVN, CVS, or Horde would be a plus.  All of our network kit is Cisco, so some familiarity with firewalls and switches would be a plus.   OSX skills would be a bonus, as many of our staff use Apple Powerbooks as workstations. All candidates must be prepared to participate in occasional after hours work, as some systems can only be taken offline during specific maintenance windows (which always seem to be in the middle of the night).  Since we are obviously a managed security firm, any recent, non-trivial security work would be a plus.

Location is in Lenexa, Kansas.  Candidate must have reliable transportation since our servers are hosted at three different locations in the Johnson County, Kansas Area.  No out of town travel required.  The successful candidate must enjoy hands-on learning and have a successful track record of technical problem solving and individual accomplishment.

Work environment is very casual with spacious offices.  Excellent benefits, compensation ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 depending on qualifications.  A fun and challenging position in a fast moving energetic environment.   No relocation.
