This is an exploration of a hidden side of Nepali culture through its traditional alcohol heritage. This immersive experience takes you through six iconic Newar drinks— Thwon, Hyangu Thwon, Kara Thwon, Aila, Masala Aila, and Green Aila—each with its own story, color, preparation method, and cultural significance. Between the tasting, you will enjoy a short guided walk around Layaku Durbar, exploring hidden alleys, temples, and local life—giving your palate time to reset while deepening your understanding of the place. The experience concludes with a strong Aila tasting session, paired with rich Newar dishes, leaving you with a full sensory and cultural immersion.
