The problem was with XFCE keyboard layouts. When I have removed RU
keyboard layout then my shortcuts started working again.

Krusader is working now. I have just lost cyrillic letters - it is
less worse than to loose all keyboard shortcuts.

file for it (a png file say) shows this icon in some parts of the system,

currently there is no in-build setting for this, but you could create a
useraction which calls Krusader's dbus interface to open a new tab.
With 'qdbus' for example you could run: "qdbus

And also in Total Commander you can rename tabs. But in Krusader you can't
do so and name of tab is the name of directory. For example, in Total
Commander I can have tabs with names "/usr/bin" and "/usr/local/bin" but in
Krusader I'll have 2 identical tabs "bin" and "bin".

In addition in Total Commander locked tabs are marked with asterisk before

to have a single pane mode. To get back -- make another useraction:

Note that You can bind both actions to keys. I have the first at Ctrl-1,

We have a home network with W-8 machines and one desktop with a dualboot
with Ubuntu 12.10 and W-8.
With the file manager of Ubuntu I can see other pc's and laptops in the

Hi Yuri,

I don't have that menu path in my copy of Krusader. I am using the
GNOME Mate desktop that comes with Mint 13. Krusader is the only KDE/
QT app I have. I installed QTCurve via the synaptic package
manager. Is that a theme or an app? What do I do to get it to
change Krusaders appearance ( mostly folder colors ).

The behaviour since 2.4.0-beta1 is:
If a tab with the requested url doesn't exist -> open a new tab in the
currently active panel.
Else -> switch to that tab.

I'm afraid there is currently no way to archive your requested
behaviour. But I might add it - probably as a command line argument.

Missing packages, on any other distros this package is not needed.

On any other distro it's working (except Sabayon), if I'm trying to copy

There is nothing wrong with the way Dolphin works with the overlays. And it
can do so because within each icon there is vertical space. This is
different in Krusader. In Krusader there is horizontal space. That is why I
made that choice.

apart from what was said already, I have to add that I started using
Krusader BECAUSE everything can be done with keyboard.
While I have nothing against adding more mouse functionality, I don't
think I will be the one implementing it.

Windows Commander works well enough on Android.

That said, I believe the future will be towards Android and such.
Traditional desktop/console will probably not die in your lifetime,
but everyday, and in every way, smartphones and tablets
are are getting better and better. (And more capable. :)

So your request is about touch devices, why don't you say that? :)
In such a context the column makes sense i guess. It's hardly enough to make
Krusader very usable with touch though. The entire ui and workflow is taylored
towards traditional desktop and console use.

I realized that my underlying issue is that it would be smart to move away
from the keyboard as mean of control. When Krusader wants to stay in the
game, there should at least be a possibility to (un)select files without
using the keyboard.
There will be more and more computers without keyboard.
